Key Personnel

Ken Davidson - Chairman. Ken is currently chairman of two other Lloyd’s brokers, and has been in the insurance business for nearly 40 years. He has had a variety of senior positions at brokers, underwriting agents and insurance law firms. He is currently chairman of the London section of the British Insurance Brokers Association, is a past master of the Wheelwrights’ Company and has been heavily involved in the work of Insurance charities and professional education as a past chairman of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Cliff Webb - Managing Director. Cliff has also been in the insurance industry for nearly 40 years after obtaining an economics degree from Pembroke College, Cambridge. Beginning his career with 10 years at C.T. Bowring, rising to assistant director, he became a founding partner with Robert Fleming Insurance Brokers. In late 1989 he joined another new broker Rattner Mackenzie Ltd and was elected to the board in 1991. For 25 years Cliff has specialized in binding authorities, and was responsible for that part of the business. He left Rattner Mackenzie in order to form Prospect Insurance Brokers in late 2009.

Jamie Webb - Director. After obtaining his business studies degree, Jamie joined Rattner Mackenzie on their graduate trainee programme. He was selected to be fast-tracked and sent to the Bermuda office where he served nearly three years learning about that market and its interplay with the world insurance market. He was then transferred to the New York office where he was employed principally to build the business of a major coverholder. Jamie also left Rattner Mackenzie in late 2009 for the new company.

Ed and Rich Robin - Non Executive Directors. Ed is Chairman of NAS. He has been a principal of NAS since 1985. Rich is Chief Executive Officer of NAS Insurance Services of Encino, California. NAS have been a Lloyd’s coverholder for 25 years and have an unrivalled reputation in the Lloyd’s market as an innovative partner who regularly produce underwriting profits. The Robins have invested in Prospect and entrusted us with their London business.

David House - Senior Broker. David started his insurance career with Marsh and McLennan and after working at Price Forbes on the nursing home account, joined Rattner Mackenzie in 2007. There he worked on American and UK binding authorities of various sorts. He joined Prospect Insurance Brokers at its inception.

Kevin Smith - Technical Manager. Kevin has had over 20 years experience in all aspects of processing binding authorities. For 15 years was the senior technician on a large part of the Rattner Mackenzie binding authority business. He joined Prospect Insurance Brokers at its inception.

George Webb - Broker. George joined Prospect Insurance Brokers in March 2010 coming from a legal background.  He gained his Law degree from Leicester University and went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at Guildford College.  He has been a valuable asset in both the claims and broking divisions since his arrival.

Tina Warburton - Technician. Tina joined Prospect Insurance Brokers in November 2010 and has over 16 years experience in Insurance covering all aspects of technical processing from claims through to slip and policy production. Her experience has been gained working in Broking Houses, Lloyds Syndicates and the Company market.

Matt Price - Consultant. Matt started his career with Miller Insurance Services working predominantly on international property insurance. He then moved to Scotland to work for Willis in their UK general insurance department before returning to London to work for Max Insurance Brokers (formerly Culver London Limited). Using his 8 years of experience Matt now works for Prospect as a consultant specialising in scheme business and affinity style insurance products.

James Gadbury - Broker. James joined Prospect Insurance Brokers in December 2011 as a graduate of Newcastle University. He achieved a 2:1 in Politics & Sociology and is now assisting in both the claims and broking divisions.
